Back in the early and mid 70's a lot of white canes
used HW-12's.
The HW-12 (Canadian version) covered 3750 to 3950.
Also a lot of Canadian hams used the ecomical and
"small" HW-12 in the mobile.
So the originators of ONTARS though 5 Kc's above the
bottom end of the dial would easy to find for blind,
visually impaired and people driving mobiles (operating
HW-12's mobile).
Anyway that is apparently why 3755 was picked.
